Little Brown Bat

Parked on a brick wall at my work place, this little bat must have been on its way to a new seasonal site. Not wanting to potentially cause stress, I grabbed a relatively long macro lens and used only the natural light available, limiting my time there so as to not disturb. Very thankful that I was able to spend a moment so intimately with this small bat.

Once numerous in southeastern Ontario, the Little Brown Bat is becoming harder and harder to find. This one was found under a shingle, ready to hibernate, when re-roofing a building.

I was heading into school one evening when I got a glimpse of something brown and fuzzy crawling up a wall . I was glad to find this little brown bat trying to conceal itself beneath the siding of the building.
